  1. BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri was warned of “severe action” by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla for hurling Islamophobic abuses at Muslim MP Danish Ali (BSP). While the opposition demanded the suspension or arrest of Bidhuri, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh expressed regret over his behavior.
  2. Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed the petition from former CM and TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu to quash the FIR against him. Meanwhile, the ACB court in Vijayawada extended his remand period by two days.

  5. A massive fire broke out in Heera Panna mall in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari this afternoon around 3.15 pm. Fourteen people, trapped in the mall, were safely rescued. 25 fire brigade vehicles, including 12 fire engines, were pressed into service to put out the fire.
