  1. Voting on Women’s Reservation Bill 2023 is underway in Lok Sabha, with 454 votes in favor and just two against. Debating on the bill, the Congress party sought a quota for women belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and OBC within the 33% reservation for women.

  10. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan raked up the Kashmir issue in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly session. He said Turkiye would continue to support steps taken towards “lasting peace in Kashmir through dialogue and cooperation between India and Pakistan.”
