  1. ED has taken Jet Airways founder Naresh Goyal into custody under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) for causing a “wrongful loss” of Rs.538.62 crores to Canara Bank.
  2. India’s first observation mission to the Sun, Aditya-L1, will be launched from Sriharikota at 11.50 a.m. today. ISRO said it would take four months for Adiya-L1 to reach Lagrange point 1, 1.5 million km away from Earth, from where it would observe the Sun.
  3. With the arrival of G20 delegates, hotel rates in Delhi for September 7-11 have surged fourfold. The average daily rate (ADR) is Rs.26,000, compared to Rs.6000 last year.
