1. CBI wants Tejashwi’s bail canceled: CBI has urged a Delhi court to revoke Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav’s bail in the IRCTC scam. Tejashwi and his mother, are on bail since 2018.  

2. Swords and Kirpan used in a scuffle between Gurudwara members: In Punjab’s Faridkot, Gurudwara Nishan Sahib’s former and present management committee members fought each other violently. Police confirmed a scuffle for control over the committee, in which members used swords and even sacred weapons. 

3. KCR to announce tribal reforms: Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao said the TRS government in the state would hike the ST reservation to 10 percent from the current 6 percent. He added that his government would introduce a Girijana Bandhu scheme for landless tribal families.  

4. Crime against women in Lakhimpur: In yet another crime at Lakhimpur Kheri, a 20-year-old woman died after a molestation attempt on her by two youths, who attacked her with sharp-edged weapons. 

5. Lasalgaon mandi to go online: Nashik’s Lasalgaon mandi, famed as the nation’s biggest wholesale onion market, is turning to tablets to trade. The Maharashtra State Agriculture Marketing Board( MSAMB) is confident of bringing in e-auctioning despite huge volumes traded in the market. 

6. “Christian community in Karnataka is deeply disturbed”: Bengaluru Archdiocese said that Karnataka’s Christain community is “deeply disturbed and pained over” the anti-conversion law (Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Act) passed in the State’s Upper House. 

7. Chandigarh University students protest leak of private videos: Chandigarh University students are holding a massive protest against the alleged leak of private videos of hostel inmates. Police detained a girl and are investigating the case.  

8. Turkiye seeks SCO membership: Turkiye is the first Nato member state to seek full membership in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO). Ankara has been associated with SCO since 2013 after it signed a partnership deal with the bloc. 

9. Flood fury causes more destruction in Pakistan: As Pakistan continues to face flood-rated mayhem, another 37 people died and 92 suffered injuries during the last 24 hours. According to officials, the nation has suffered estimated damage of $30 billion. 

10. Iranians protest high-handedness of Morality police: In Iran, 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died after she was detained by the Morality police for flouting Hijab norms. Amini’s death has sparked protests by Iranians, venting their outrage on the streets and social media.
