  1. The Allahabad HC has acquitted Nithari Murder case accused Surinder Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher, citing the prosecution’s failure to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt. Both were awarded the death penalty. Koli’s narco analysis showed he indulged in rape, murder, and cannibalism of several girl children during 2005-2006.
  2. The SC has rejected the plea for medical termination of a woman appellant’s 26-week pregnancy, underlining it’s not a case of fetal abnormality and her pregnancy poses no immediate threat to her life.
