  1. Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Shahid Latif, suspected to be the mastermind behind the attack on the IAF’Pathankot base in 2016, was shot and killed today by unidentified assailants in a mosque in Daska town of Pakistan’s Sialkot district.
  2. Tamil Nadu’s Thanjavur district observed a total closure, with over 40,000 shops shut, in protest against Karnataka for not releasing Cauvery Water, per the orders of the Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA).
  3. The Government Hospital in Nanded has reported 108 deaths in the last eight days and 11 in just 24 hours.
