  1. India has slammed remarks from the Organization of Islamic Council (OIC) on Yasin Malik’s verdict, calling the council not to justify terrorism. 
  2. Om Prakash Chautala, the 87-year-old former Haryana chief minister, has been awarded four years in jail by a special CBI court. The sentencing comes after CBI registered FIR on a Disproportionate asset case against Chautala in 2006.   
  3. IMD clarifies that the Southwest monsoon will now reach the Kerala coast in 2-3 days. Earlier the national meteorological department had said, Monsoon would begin early this year on the 27th of May.

  8. Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has said that children are more susceptible to Monkeypox, though there are no reported cases in India. It listed body ache, rashes, high fever, a lot of lymphadenopathies, and large lymph nodes, as unusual symptoms of Monkeypox.
