1. Delhi and Mumbai date monsoon together: IMD officials said Delhi and Mumbai witnessed the simultaneous arrival of the monsoon this year. Amusingly, 62 years back, on June 21, 1961, both cities welcomed the monsoon on the same date. 

2. Wrestler’s decide to continue their fight in court: India’s top wrestlers announced that they are calling off their protests and would now fight the former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in the court. They added that they would wait for the implementation of reforms promised by the government. Meanwhile, the Guwahati High Court has stayed the WFI election due on July 11. 

3. Mega robot manufacturing facility in UP: Addverb inaugurated its mega robot manufacturing plant, “Bot Verse,” in Greater Noida on Sunday. The factory, built with an investment of Rs.200 crores, is one of the largest in the world, promising to generate over 3000 highly skilled jobs. 

4. Paytm to add 15 mn Soundbox customers: According to a Bank of America (BofA) Securities report, Paytm can add 15 mn new Soundbox customers in two to three years. In India, Paytm is the first mover in this segment and has deployed over 6.5 mn soundboxes cumulatively since its launch.  

5. India and Egypt are now Strategic Partners: India and Egypt signed their land-mark strategic partnership agreement during the two-day visit by PM Modi to Cairo. They also signed three MoUs covering agriculture, archeology, and competition law. 

6. Only 2% of online complaints converted into FIRs: As per the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal, between January 2022 and May 2023, 21 lakh complaints were received. However, only 2% of them were converted into FIRs nationally, with Telangana registering the maximum number of FIRs at 17%.

7. Delhi government raises power tariff, blames center: AAP government has increased the power tariff in the national capital. Addressing the press, Power Minister Atishi blamed the center for creating an “artificial shortage of coal,” adding that the tariff would not affect consumers utilizing 200 units or less. 

8. NIA raids 12 locations in J&K: An NIA team is conducting raids in 12 locations in Kashmir with assistance from the Police and CRPF. Investigating a terrorist conspiracy case, aid is being held in South Kashmir Districts Pulwama, Kulgam, Shopian, and north Kashmir’s Bandipora. 

9. Center releases capex funds to states: The center has approved Rs.56,415 crore to sixteen states for capital investment proposals across various sectors like power, irrigation, water supply, education, health, etc. Bihar receives the highest assistance of Rs.9640 crore.

10. NASA achieves a new milestone in water recycling: Nasa has achieved a significant milestone in water recycling on the International Space Station. The Water Processing Assembly (WPA) can now recycle 98% of wastewater (including urine and sweat), the threshold required for water recovery during long-duration space exploration missions.
