Delhi-NCR has been grappling with ‘severe’ air pollution over the last few days. To prevent air quality in these regions from further decline, the Center’s Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has announced the implementation of Stage 4 of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP). With that, linear construction projects like Roads, Highways, and Bridges will be halted.

Fifty percent of Delhi’s workforce, private and public sector, will be asked to work from home, and schools will be advised to conduct online classes for certain grades.

Most diesel-operated goods vehicles registered in Delhi, other than those carrying essential goods and services, will be prohibited. Likewise, LNG/CNG/EV trucks and other trucks carrying vital goods and services will only be allowed inside the National capital.

In addition to these measures, UT(s) and State government(s) would take a call on closing educational institutions and restricting non-essential commercial movement in their respective regions. Further, aged people, children, and those suffering from health ailments have been advised not to venture outside.
