Five Border Security Force (BSF) Jawans died after one of their colleagues opened fire at them in an unfortunate incident. The firing has happened on Sunday, March 6, inside the BSF mess of Khasa Village in Amristar.

The shooter is identified as BSF constable Ct Sattepa S K.  It appears from the initial police investigation that Ct Sattepa was overworked and upset because of continuous work. He has also had a spat with his senior BSF officer in this regard.

However, on Sunday, while on duty, he opened fire at his colleagues in a fit of rage. Soon after that, he has killed himself.

One Jawan is still in a critical condition, and others injured are receiving emergency treatment at the Guru Nanak Dev Hospital.
