According to reports, Yogi Adityanath will take oath for his second term as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Friday, March 25, 2022, at 4 pm. The ceremony, expected to be a grand affair, will occur at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in the state capital Lucknow.
Central leaders from the BJP, including PM Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Party President JP Nadda, also leaders from their ideological parental organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), will be present.
In addition, the BJP is planning to invite all leading opposition party leaders from the state and central leaders of the congress party for the oath-taking ceremony.
For the Bharatiya Janata Party, it is a humungous victory. Along with its allies, it has won 273 out of 403 assembly seats in the recent Uttar Pradesh state election held in seven phases. Since 1987 this is the first time a ruling party has managed to come back to power. Moreover, it’s a morale booster for the party ahead of the central polls.
