With the last leg of elections in UP complete, exit poll results have started coming. We will see some decisive victories and wafer-thin majorities. We may also see political lobbying in at least two states to garner strength. TNV have conducted 2022 Election exit polls in Twitter on these regions and the results are pretty interesting so far. Comback to see how close the results match.
Uttar Pradesh chooses BJP again
As per many exit poll results, Yogi Adityanath would return with a comfortable majority. At a distant second, SP will finish the race. BSP is reducing itself to a single-digit tally.
BJP did a massive campaign for this election. The highlighted developmental works and their pro-Hindu religious consecrations like Kashi Vishwanath Corridor seemed to have created a favorable image for CM Yogi Adityanath.
Vote polarisation in the last leg of the election with the Hijab issue involving school children appears to have played a role too, consolidating a segment of the votes.
Punjab – AAP travels with a full majority
Aam Aadmi Party, with a decisive victory in Punjab, is growing beyond Delhi. However, unlike in UT Delhi, which has two power centers, the party will have an opportunity to implement its policies in Punjab. Congress at second place losing to AAP might cheer Navjot Singh Sidhu, who was politely denied the CM candidature. SAD at the third spot and BJP scoring single digits clearly show dissatisfied farmers venting their anger through polls.
Goa – A tussle between BJP and Congress
According to most poll results, the parties would be at loggerheads for a majority. However, any inroads to Goa by Aam Aadmi Party or Trinamool Congress might help Congress strike an alliance. With Mamta Banarjee eyeing for a national-level leadership, will she offer support to Congress to form the Government at Goa? Probably yes. However, we need to see how AAP and TMC fare in the polls before that.
Uttrakhand – An uphill task for BJP and Congress
It looks like both the national parties are likely to face a tough fight from each other. Some exit poll results indicate a victory for BJP, while others show a sign of success for Congress.
Manipur – BJP to emerge as the single largest party
The exit polls results indicate that BJP would secure the highest tally of seats in the state though short of the halfway mark. The Congress party would emerge as the runner-up in the polls. In the meantime, we hear that due to poll-related violence in some Naga majority districts, EC will conduct a repoll in 6 Manipur stations.
