According to reports, the Joe Biden administration is keen on signing a deal to deliver India MQ-9B predator-armed drones. Ten each, for each of the armed services, at an estimated cost of $3b, is being deliberated.
The MQ-98 drones would enable better maritime surveillance in the Indian Ocean and along the Line of Actual Control (AC) bordering China. The deal, initially announced during the summer of 2017, has been pending until now. However, both sides seem eager to finalize the deal now.
