IIT-Madras will host the G20 education seminar on the ‘Role of Digital Technology in Education’ on Tuesday, January 31. Also, G20 working group meeting on February 1 and 2.
The seminar will discuss providing accessible and equitable education for all, enabling high-quality learning opportunities in higher education, and skill education through emerging technologies. It will also examine how dropouts can be brought back to complete their higher education and how students can be skilled.
Neeta Prasad, Joint Secretary of the Union ministry of education said that key discussions and resolutions from the seminar would feature in the G20 declarations. With more than 900 people from 13 G20 member countries taking part in the seminar, there will also be 50 stalls that display innovation in education, said V Kamakoti, Director of IIT-Madras.
